Riding the rails with Christine on Canada’s most iconic train
Christine talks with crew members on the Canadian, a VIA Rail train which travels across the Canadian prairies and through the Rocky Mountains. She learns what it’s like to prepare luxurious meals in a cramped kitchen that’s constantly moving and just how vast the prairies and mountains are. She also finds that there are still Chinese restaurants – often still called chop suey houses – in many small towns along the railway route.
